Villarreal goalkeeper Filip Jorgensen and Boca Juniors youngster Aaron Anselmino reportedly both complete their Chelsea medicals ahead of their moves to West London.

Villarreal goalkeeper Filip Jorgensen and Boca Juniors youngster Aaron Anselmino have apparently completed their medicals with Chelsea ahead of their arrivals at Stamford Bridge.

The 2024 summer window has been another one of heavy cash-splashing for the Blues, who continue to pursue a plethora of the globe's most highly-rated young stars.

Despite concerns over potential Financial Fair Play breaches - negated by some high-profile exits such as Ian Maatsen, Lewis Hall, Omari Hutchinson and Hakim Ziyech - Todd Boehly has overseen several arrivals already.

Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall, Renato Veiga, Tosin Adarabioyo, Marc Guiu, Caleb Wiley and Omari Kellyman are among the new troops to arrive in West London this term, and two more are now set to join them.

According to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, both Jorgensen and Anselmino are now on the brink of being unveiled as Chelsea players, having now completed their Blues medicals in different locations.

Anselmino, Jorgensen 'to sign six-year deals' at Chelsea

Romano reports that Anselmino's medical took place in London, while Jorgensen underwent his checks in the USA as he prepares to link up with Enzo Maresca's USA tour squad.

Both players are supposedly set to pen six-year deals with the Premier League giants until the summer of 2030, and their contracts will also include the options for additional seasons.

Anselmino is expected to head back to his native Argentina once his tests are complete, and the 19-year-old has already confirmed that a £17m switch to Maresca's side is on the verge of completion.

However, Anselmino is expected to remain with Boca Juniors on loan for the 2024-25 season before eventually being integrated into the Chelsea squad in a year's time, having made just 10 appearances for the Argentinian giants so far.

In contrast, Jorgensen will come straight into Chelsea's first-team ranks to challenge for the number one jersey with Robert Sanchez and Djordje Petrovic, as Kepa Arrizabalaga is expected to depart on a permanent deal.

The 22-year-old will leave the Yellow Submarine following a breakthrough 2023-24 season in which he made 36 La Liga appearances, and he was also a part of Villarreal's 2020-21 Europa League-winning side.

What other deals are Chelsea working on?

The Stamford Bridge kit men will have plenty of goalkeeping gloves to keep clean over the next couple of months, as the Blues are also understood to be close to an agreement for Genk protege Mike Penders.

The teenager is not expected to challenge for Blues starts in 2024-25, though, and is instead expected to continue with Genk on loan for 2024-25 even if Chelsea can strike a deal imminently.

At the other end of the field, speculation surrounding a move for Napoli's Victor Osimhen has gathered pace in recent days, as Romelu Lukaku could potentially be used as a bargaining chip.

Gabriel Mec - a 16-year-old Gremio product - is also of interest to Chelsea, but there are no advanced negotiations just yet.
