Branislav Ivanovic eager to sign new Chelsea deal?

Chelsea full-back Branislav Ivanovic reportedly wants to extend his current terms at Stamford Bridge by a further year, despite being linked with Juventus and Barcelona.

Branislav Ivanovic is not interested in a move away from Chelsea and instead wants to extend his current contract at the club, according to a report.

The Serbia international has failed to break into the Blues' first-team fold since Antonio Conte's switch to a 3-4-3 formation, being restricted to just three minutes of playing time upon returning from a minor injury last month.

A lack of match action has seen Ivanovic linked with European giants Juventus and Barcelona, as well as Premier League sides West Ham United and Crystal Palace, but Goal.com claims that he is keen to stay put at Stamford Bridge.

Barca in particular are said to be after a new right-back in January as a replacement for out-of-favour Aleix Vidal, but they are now likely to turn attention to Shakhtar Donetsk's Darijo Srna after missing out on the Chelsea stalwart.

It is claimed that vice-captain Ivanovic, who signed a one-year rolling contract last January, has not pushed for a move away from the club and will instead aim to impress Conte in order to earn back his place in the side.

The 32-year-old featured in both of Serbia's fixtures during the international break, but remains just short of 400 appearances for the Blues after being overlooked.
