The agent of Chelsea midfielder Jorginho has revealed that the Italian could have secured a switch to Juventus while Maurizio Sarri was in charge of the Old Lady.
Jorginho followed Sarri to Stamford Bridge from Napoli in the summer of 2018, but he has frequently divided opinion among the Chelsea fanbase over the past three years.
Sarri spent just one season in charge of the Blues before returning to Italy with Juventus - who also waved goodbye to the 62-year-old after a solitary year - and Jorginho's agent Joao Santos has confirmed that the Chelsea man could have followed his mentor back to Italy.
Speaking to Radio Bianconera, Santos said: "In the past, when Sarri was the coach, there was a possibility that Jorginho would come to Juventus.
"The Juventus director made an approach, it was a possibility. I think Jorginho has a good chance of winning the Ballon d'Or, because we usually think of Lionel Messi or Cristiano Ronaldo, but nobody has won as much as Jorginho this year.
"He has a contract with Chelsea until 2023. Obviously it would be a dream for him to return to Italy, hopefully after winning the World Cup. We'll have to see what the market looks like in a couple of years and what the other situations are."
Jorginho featured 43 times across all competitions during Chelsea's Champions League-winning 2020-21 season before starting every game for Italy en route to Euro 2020 glory.
