The agent of Chelsea midfielder Jorginho has suggested that his client would be interested in a return to Italy.
After a hugely successful 2020-21 campaign for club and country – winning the Champions League with Chelsea before claiming Euro 2020 glory with Italy – the 29-year-old was rewarded for his performances on the pitch by being named the UEFA Men's Player of the Year.
Jorginho, who has also been tipped to win the Ballon d'Or, has two years remaining on his contract at Stamford Bridge but his agent believes the midfielder will consider a return to Serie A in the near future.
"Obviously, yes. When you win a European Championship with Italy, the next step can be to play in Italy. But now we don't get hot. Everything changes in a short time," Joao Santos told TuttoMercatoWeb.
"He has a two-year contract with Chelsea. As a philosophy, the club renews contracts when one year is missing. We will see what happens next year."
Santos also confirmed that 'many European clubs' are interested in Jorginho, including Italian giants Juventus.
Jorginho has made 144 appearances across all competitions for Chelsea since joining from Napoli in 2018, scoring 17 goals and providing four assists.
