Palermo striker Josip Ilicic is expected to turn down a move to the Premier League in favour of staying in Serie A.
Chelsea, Liverpool and Tottenham are said to be interested in the 25-year-old, who has scored seven league goals this season.
However, the Slovenian international told Corriere dello Sport that he expects to still be playing in Italy next season.
"I don't know what will occur in June. The career of a footballer is short and moments arrive when you can change your life. Nevertheless, I'd like to remain in Italy," said Ilcic.
Ilcic, who rejected a move to Russian side Dynamo Kiev in January, added: "I received an offer from them but I said no because I wanted to fight and help Palermo stay in Serie A.
"For now I just want to end this season as well as possible and then we will see what happens."
Ilcic has made 22 appearances for Slovenia.
