Juventus are reportedly struggling to meet the wage demands of Chelsea centre-back Antonio Rudiger, who is after at least another £2.5m on his proposed yearly salary.

Juventus are reportedly struggling to come to an agreement over personal terms with Chelsea centre-back Antonio Rudiger.

The Germany international now has less than three months left on his deal at Stamford Bridge and will be free to leave in July should the club fail to extend his contract.

Sanctions placed on current owner Roman Abramovich means that Chelsea cannot offer Rudiger a new contract, and the likes of Barcelona, Bayern Munich and Juventus have all been linked with a swoop.

However, days after it was reported that Barcelona would not stump up Rudiger's wage demands, Corriere Torino - via The Mirror - claims that the 28-year-old's requested salary could also scupper a move to Juventus.

The report adds that Rudiger is after at least another £2.5m per year on the offer that Juventus have tabled, while he could also demand a signing-on fee of at least £2m to make the move to Turin.

Juventus are still regarded as the favourites for the centre-back's services, and he has enjoyed a productive season at Chelsea with four goals and four assists in 45 appearances.
