Liverpool have reportedly held talks over a surprise loan move for Paris Saint-Germain forward Kylian Mbappe.
There is currently uncertainty surrounding Mbappe's future, with his PSG contract set to expire at the end of next season.
The 24-year-old has indicated that is unwilling to put pen to paper on a new deal, which has frustrated the French champions.
PSG believe that Mbappe has already agreed to sign for Real Madrid on a free transfer next summer, but they are reluctant to allow the France international to run down the remainder of his contract.
As a result, they have put the striker up for sale and left him out of the squad for the pre-season tour of Japan and South Korea

The Ligue 1 side recently gave Mbappe permission to discuss a move with Saudi Pro League club Al-Hilal after accepting a world record £259m bid.
However, Mbappe is not interested in completing a move to Saudi Arabia and has turned down the chance to join Al-Hilal.
PSG were infuriated with Mbappe's decision to refuse talks with Al-Hilal, and they remain determined to resolve the player's future this summer.
According to The Mirror, Liverpool have entered the race to sign the Frenchman and are currently in talks over a season-long loan deal.

The report claims that the move could suit all parties, as PSG would receive a loan fee, while Mbappe would be able to join Real Madrid next summer.
The Reds have been persuaded to pursue a loan move due to Mbappe's respect for the club and the fact his agent and mother Fayza Lamari is a Liverpool fan.
Mbappe previously held discussions with Liverpool over a transfer when he was a Monaco player, before deciding to sign for PSG.
Chelsea boss Mauricio Pochettino recently played down rumours that the Blues would make an attempt to sign Mbappe, while Man City have also ruled out making an approach for the PSG striker.
