Romelu Lukaku has arrived in Italy to undergo a medical ahead of his impending return to Inter Milan.
The Belgium international left San Siro last summer, joining Chelsea for a second spell after departing the London side in 2014.
Lukaku struggled on his return to Stamford Bridge, starting only 16 Premier League games, while he came under criticism in December for conducting an interview with Italian media in which he claimed that he was struggling in Thomas Tuchel's system.
Despite leaving Inter last summer, the 29-year-old has continued to be linked with a return to the Italian club before Inter football executive Beppe Marotta confirmed that Lukaku would be rejoining on a season-long loan deal.
The Belgian has arrived in Italy ahead of Wednesday's medical, with Inter supporters waiting to greet Lukaku who landed in Milan on Tuesday.
In his previous spell with Inter, the forward scored 64 goals in 95 appearances, helping his side win the Serie A title under Antonio Conte.
