Romelu Lukaku open to Everton stay next season

Romelu Lukaku says that he would like to stay at Everton next season if they can qualify for the Champions League.

Romelu Lukaku has revealed that he is open to staying at Everton beyond next summer.

The 20-year-old striker is currently on a season-long loan deal at the Toffees from Chelsea.

"It's not a bad idea," he told BBC Sport. "If we play Champions League, yeah, why not? I was watching the games this week and I miss European football a lot.

"I would like to be successful at Chelsea but I have to work and grow and be a better player and then at the end of the season see what is the best decision for my career."

Lukaku has scored seven goals in the Premier League for Everton so far this season.
