Romelu Lukaku has reportedly taken measures to try to engineer a transfer away from Chelsea during the summer transfer window, former club Inter Milan remaining his preferred destination.
During his first season back at Stamford Bridge, Lukaku netted just 15 goals from 44 appearances, a below-par return on the back of a £97.5m transfer.
While some reports have indicated that the Belgium international is motivated to make a success of his stint in West London, others claim that the 29-year-old is attempting to find a way out of the club.
According to multiple reports in Italy, Lukaku has parted ways with agent Federico Pastorello, instead linking up with lawyer Sebastien Ledure.
The report claims that negotiations have already been held with Inter director Beppe Marotta, even if both parties are aware that it will take a significant compromise from Chelsea to consider a sale.
Inter are currently not in a position where they can get anywhere close to paying the fee that they received less than 12 months ago, a stumbling block which will likely see Chelsea retain Lukaku's services.
