Chelsea announce that winger Charly Musonda has signed a new long-term contract at Stamford Bridge.

Chelsea winger Charly Musonda has said that he wants to fight for his place in the first team after penning a new contract at Stamford Bridge.

Earlier this season, Musonda suggested that he was growing frustrated with life at the Blues, with head coach Antonio Conte restricting the youngster to appearances in the EFL Cup.

Reports had linked Musonda with a potential exit from the West London outfit, but the Premier League side have announced that the Belgian has extended his stay at the club until 2022.

The 21-year-old told the club's official website: "I am very happy and very proud. I came here very young and am very happy to continue my journey here.

"I love this club so it's a great moment for me and my family. Now I want to establish myself and progress into the team and stay here permanently."

Musonda has made four outings this season, but the attacker has spent just 26 minutes on the pitch in the league.
