Napoli have reportedly ended their interest in turning Tiemoue Bakayoko's loan move from Chelsea into a permanent deal.
The 26-year-old has been on loan at Napoli since the start of October, registering 36 appearances for the Serie A giants.
It had been suggested that Napoli may look to sign Bakayoko on a permanent basis, with his parent club Chelsea planning on selling the defensive midfielder to gain some funds.
However, Italian newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport reports that the Serie A team no longer want to sign the Frenchman this summer, despite him becoming a regular in Gennaro Gattuso's team since joining on loan.
Bakayoko is one of a number of players Chelsea are understood to be looking to sell this summer as they attempt to raise funds for new arrivals, with in-demand striker Erling Braut Haaland one of the players on their radar.
Bakayoko joined Chelsea from Monaco in July 2017, yet has only registered 43 appearances for the Blues, being loaned back to Monaco as well as Napoli and AC Milan since joining.
