Olympiacos announce permanent arrival of Marko Marin from Chelsea

Marko Marin joins Olympiacos on a permanent transfer after featuring just 16 times for Chelsea in four years at the club.

Chelsea flop Marko Marin has completed a permanent move to Greek outfit Olympiacos to officially bring his four-year spell in West London to an end.

The Germany international made just 16 appearances for the Blues during his time at Stamford Bridge, scoring his only goal in the thrashing of Wigan Athletic in 2013.

Marin was unable to hold down a starting spot at Chelsea, however, spending the past three seasons out on loan at four different clubs.

A statement on Chelsea's official website confirmed the news and added: "We thank Marko for his efforts as a Chelsea player and wish him well in his future career."

Marin featured for a combined 143 minutes for Chelsea in the Premier League.
