Chelsea winger Pedro has reportedly told the club that he will not sign a short-term contract extension to see him through to the end of the season.
The 32-year-old's current contract will expire on June 30 and no agreement has yet been confirmed between the player and the club for the remainder of the 2019-20 campaign.
The Athletic reports that Pedro has already agreed a deal to join Serie A side Roma when his Chelsea terms expire, although he and the club still have an option to extend his stay at Stamford Bridge until the end of this season, which is scheduled to be around five weeks away.
However, Pedro is reportedly reluctant to risk injury or anything else which could scupper his Roma move and has therefore refused to play for the Blues beyond June 30.
Chelsea face Aston Villa, Manchester City and Leicester City prior to that date, but leaving on June 30 would see Pedro miss at least seven matches.
Roma have reportedly offered Pedro a two-year deal worth £56,000 per week.
