Chelsea youngster Xavier Simons has reportedly emerged as a transfer target for four Premier League clubs ahead of the summer window.
The 19-year-old is well regarded at Stamford Bridge and was handed his senior debut in the EFL Cup quarter-final with Brentford earlier this season.
However, that remains the academy graduate's only start, naturally leaving him to assess his options ahead of the end of his contract later in 2022.
According to Goal, Simons is open to penning a new contract with the European and world champions, providing that he is given an opportunity to gain first-team football on loan during 2022-23.
Nevertheless, the report adds that Brighton & Hove Albion, Southampton, Norwich City and Watford are all monitoring the situation, aware that any fee would be decided by tribunal if Simons departs the Blues.
Several youngsters departed Chelsea last summer with mixed success, something which may convince Simons to bide his time in West London.
