Chelsea goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois reportedly remains a transfer target for Real Madrid.
Courtois has been strongly linked with a switch to the Bernabeu throughout the season, despite suggesting that he is happy to play out the final year of his contract at Stamford Bridge.
Chelsea are keen for the Belgian stopper to pen a new deal but the 26-year-old holds a desire to return to Spain, having previously represented Atletico Madrid.
According to The Mirror, Real are still interested in signing Courtois for a transfer fee this summer, rather than wait another 12 months to finally complete the switch.
The Spanish giants are also encouraged that Chelsea's failure to qualify for the Champions League may lead to the Blues choosing to cash in on Courtois, who has made a total of 153 appearances for the West Londoners in all competitions.
