Chelsea attacker Loic Remy has reportedly emerged as a transfer target for Rennes.
Remy is considered to be surplus to requirements at Stamford Bridge after an injury-hit loan spell with Crystal Palace and he will be allowed to leave the club this summer.
The 30-year-old played just 131 minutes of Premier League football last season but according to L'Equipe, he has been given an opportunity to rebuild his career at Rennes.
Since 2014, he has made just 54 appearances in all competitions for Chelsea and Palace, but he would likely be provided with first-team football at Rennes, who finished in ninth place in the Ligue 1 standings last season.
Remy has previously enjoyed success in his homeland, with 54 league goals being scored in five years at Nice and Marseille respectively.
Chelsea paid £8.5m for his signature, but they are likely to accept a cut-price fee in order to remove the French international from their wage bill.
