Chelsea could make a move to sign Barcelona striker David Villa in January, according to reports.

Chelsea have targeted David Villa as a possible transfer addition in January, according to reports.

The 31-year-old has only started six games for Barcelona this season and it was rumoured last week that he may be allowed to leave the Camp Nou on a temporary basis.

Chelsea manager Rafael Bentiez is reportedly looking to add a striker to his squad in January and, according to the Daily Mail, Villa could be targeted to support Fernando Torres in attack.

It has also reported that Arsenal remain interested in Villa but due to the Spanish striker being cup-tied from playing for another team in the Champions League, he may opt for a team in the Europa League.
