Chelsea will reportedly focus on signing Philippe Coutinho from Barcelona if they lose Eden Hazard to Real Madrid in the summer.
Hazard is expected to finalise a switch to the Bernabeu in the coming weeks, ending months of speculation regarding his future.
Spanish outlet Cadena SER claims that Chelsea already have a replacement in mind, with former Liverpool attacker Coutinho being targeted.
The Brazil international has struggled to make much of an impact at Camp Nou since joining from the Reds in January 2018 and is allegedly deemed surplus to requirements.
Any move for Coutinho will depend on the outcome of Chelsea's transfer ban appeal, however, with the Blues currently blocked from signing players by FIFA across the next two windows.
Chelsea already have a deal in place to bring in Christian Pulisic from Borussia Dortmund next month, but another forward is believed to be on Maurizio Sarri's radar if he is given permission to recruit players.
