Liverpool have emerged as surprise candidates to sign Callum Hudson-Odoi from Chelsea after reportedly holding talks with the youngster's agent.
The 18-year-old has held off from renewing his Stamford Bridge contract, which has less than 18 months to run, as he wants to play regular first-team football.
Hudson-Odoi has yet to start a Premier League match and has been used for a combined hour from the bench in the top flight, spread across three substitute appearances.
Bayern Munich have already had three bids knocked back for the teenage talent, the most recent believed to be close to £35m, seeing him as the ideal replacement for outgoing Arjen Robben.
German outlet Bild suggests that Bayern are not alone in showing an interest in Hudson-Odoi, however, as Liverpool met with the teenage forward and his agent brother Bradley earlier this month to discuss a move.
Chelsea have offered Hudson-Odoi an improved contract, but they may look to sell him for a big sum this year if he does not put pen to paper.
