Romelu Lukaku is reportedly set to make an early return to Chelsea in a bid to sort out his future.
The Belgium international rejoined Chelsea last summer, but he endured a tough season at Stamford Bridge, starting only 16 Premier League games.
Lukaku also had to apologise in December for comments that he made to Italian media suggesting that he was struggling in Thomas Tuchel's system.
Despite returning to the Premier League in the summer of 2021, Lukaku has expressed a desire to rejoin Inter, although a recent report has suggested that the Italian side could opt against a deal for their former striker.
With his situation uncertain, The Mirror are reporting that Lukaku could head straight to London to discuss his future following the conclusion of the current international window.
The report indicates that Lukaku will sit down with new Chelsea owner Todd Boehly to repair the rift between the Belgian and Tuchel that was caused by the interview with Italian media.
Lukaku, who is contracted to Chelsea until 2026, scored 15 goals in his 44 appearances for the Blues last term.
