Sevilla are reportedly yet to receive an offer from Barcelona for Jules Kounde.
Despite having two years left to run on his current contract, Kounde looks set to depart the Andalusian side this summer.
With the Frenchman set to leave Sevilla, Chelsea and Barcelona have been battling it out for Kounde's signature.
Chelsea have reached an agreement over a £55m deal, while Barcelona are now said to have made a bid for the defender.
However, according to the Daily Mail, Sevilla have claimed they are yet to receive an offer from Barcelona, with Chelsea pushing to complete the deal.
Xavi has reportedly contacted Kounde to persuade him to wait for an offer from Barcelona, who have freed up more funds after agreeing to sell a proportion of their TV rights.
Despite Barcelona's interest, Sevilla sporting director Monchi is expected to hold talks with Chelsea owner Todd Boehly in the next few days.
After previously losing out to Barcelona for the signing of Raphinha, Chelsea will be keen to win the race for Kounde.
