Southampton are reportedly leading the race to sign Angers starlet Mohamed-Ali Cho.
The 17-year-old forward has impressed as a first-team regular for the Ligue 1 outfit and is already closing in on 50 senior appearances.
According to The Sun, Ralph Hasenhuttl has identified Cho as a potential target in January, though the Saints would have to pay around £20m if they wish to sign the teenager.
Cho, who currently has just over 18 months remaining on his contract with Angers, has also been closely monitored by scouts of Chelsea.
However, Southampton believe they are at the front of the queue to land Cho having expressed their interest in the player for some time, and they hope first-team football in the Premier League would persuade the forward to move to St Mary's.
The youngster has previously had spells with the academies of Everton and Paris Saint-Germain before moving to Angers, and has also featured twice for the England Under-16s.
Cho has since pledged his allegiance to France, making three appearances for their Under-21s, including his debut in September.
