Shakhtar Donetsk stalwart Darijo Srna has insisted that he has no regrets about snubbing Chelsea and Bayern Munich to stay with the Ukrainian outfit.
The highly-rated full-back has spent 11 years at Donetsk, during which he claims he has been courted by a couple of Europe's elite clubs.
However, the Croatian, who joined from Hajduk Split in 2003, resisted the prospect of a bigger pay packet and a more glamorous career to stay loyal to Shakhtar for the good of his family.
"It is true, I had two concrete offers but I listened to my heart and remained at the club with whom I grew up for 11 years," he told Novosti.
"If I moved, I would get more money, but as I said, it was a decision which was written in my heart.
"At the end I also did that because of my family which wanted to stay."
Srna is the current captain of Donetsk and has been capped 110 times at international level.
