Sports Mole rounds up the latest transfer news and rumours, including Frank Lampard's possible raid of Chelsea and Bournemouth's desperate search for a new striker.

Chelsea youngster Sam Rak-Sakyi has reportedly attracted the interest of Championship outfit Coventry City.

Blues legend Frank Lampard is currently in charge of the East Midlands club after taking the reins from the longserving Mark Robins during late November.

Rak-Sayki has fared better than some of his senior counterparts this term in playing a part in Enzo Maresca's plans at Stamford Bridge, where the capital club are dealing with a bloated squad.

The 19-year-old has featured on four occasions in the Conference League for Chelsea this season, a competition which the Blues are overwhelming favourites to succeed in.

However, according to The Standard, Rak-Sakyi might not be with Maresca's men to celebrate a potential European success in the flesh later in the year.

The report claims that Championship side Coventry are keen on securing the services of the midfielder until the conclusion of the 2024-25 campaign.

The Sky Blues have already made initial contact with Chelsea over a possible deal, with more detailed talks scheduled for next week as the transfer window rolls on.

Sam's brother - Jesurun Rak-Sakyi - is currently on loan from Crystal Palace at Sheffield United in the Championship, with the Blades fighting hard for automatic promotion to the Premier League.

Bournemouth 'plotting move' for South American attacker

Elsewhere in the Premier League, Bournemouth are facing an injury crisis at the top end of the pitch following an exceptional start to the term.

Enes Unal has been ruled out for the remainder of the season with a knee injury, whilst Brazilian marksman Evanilson has suffered a broken foot.

As a result, it is not a surprise to see the high-flying Cherries scouring the market, with Football Insider stating that the South Coast club have taken their search to South America.

It is believed that Bournemouth are eyeing up a New Year deal for Alex Arce of LDU Quito, a striker who recently made his debut for Paraguay.

The 29-year-old enjoyed a marvellous 2024 campaign in the top flight of Ecuador, making the net ripple on 35 occasions across 46 league contests.

It is understood that Arce is keen on the idea of trying his luck on the European stage, following spells in Paraguay, Argentina and Ecuador.

The Cherries are supposedly not alone in their interest for Arce, with a number of other clubs across the continent in the hunt for the attacker.

Man City defender set for second January loan move?

Finishing on a player who should be playing his football outside of the Premier League for the remainder of the term, Manchester City youngster Tomas Galvez is gearing up for a new loan move.

That is according to Football Insider, who claim that the 19-year-old will see his current temporary agreement at LASK Linz terminated this month.

Featuring in just three matches in the Austrian Bundesliga so far, Galvez is not earning the first-team action Man City were hoping for during the 2024-25 term.

As a result, the left-back is set to link with up a new loan club during the second half of the season in the form of Dutch side Cambuur.

Currently in the second tier of Dutch football, Cambuur are likely to offer Galvez plenty of minutes between now and the season's conclusion.

Despite his lack of experience on the senior stage at club level, the defender is a regular contributor for Finland, starting matches against San Marino and Sweden in recent times.
