Report: Watford plot permanent move to take Nathan Ake from Chelsea

Watford reportedly set their sights on signing Chelsea loanee Nathan Ake permanently from their fellow Premier League outfit this summer.

Watford have reportedly targeted signing Chelsea defender Nathan Ake permanently as one of their top priorities this summer.

The Dutch Under-21 international has become first-choice left-back under Quique Flores this term, making 20 appearances and scoring one goal in the Premier League.

According to The Mirror, the Hornets are also interested in another season-long loan move in 2016-17 should they fail to agree a full-time switch with Chelsea.

Ake signed a five-year contract extension at Stamford Bridge last summer before heading to Watford on loan.
