New Chelsea signing Marco van Ginkel has revealed that he is keen to be part of the Netherlands squad for next summer's World Cup in Brazil.
The 20-year-old finalised his switch to the Blues yesterday afternoon for a fee in the region of £8m.
The midfielder is now hoping that his move to Stamford Bridge will help improve his chances of travelling to South America.
"Everybody wants to go there to Brazil. You have to play, that's what Louis van Gaal has said to players," he told the club's official website.
"I think I can play games and I think the Premier League is higher than the Dutch league, so you can learn more physically and technically, and develop. That's why I am here."
Van Ginkel has made one appearance at senior international level.
