Chester FC sign 30-year-old midfielder Danny Harrison, who was released by Tranmere Rovers in April.

Chester FC have signed former Tranmere Rovers midfielder Danny Harrison.

The 30-year-old, who was released by the Prenton Park club in April, is manager Neil Young's fifth signing of the summer.

"I'm really pleased to have joined a club that is clearly going places," Harrison told Chester's official website.

"Neil sold the move really easily as I've been aware of how well the club has done in the last few years.

"Hopefully I can add my experience to the squad and continue the club's challenge in the Conference next season."

Harrison made 165 first-team appearances for Tranmere, 18 of which came during the 2012-13 season.
