Bastian Schweinsteiger has played down fears that he suffered a potentially long-term injury during Chicago Fire's 4-0 win over Vancouver Whitecaps in the MLS on Saturday night.
Schweinsteiger, 32, suffered a hip injury in the first half of the contest, and was forced off just before the interval.
It had been suggested that the former Germany international could now be facing an extended period on the sidelines, but he took to Twitter to reassure supporters that the problem was not serious.
Another great performance by our team. Fortunately my injury shouldn't be too bad and I am looking forward to our next matches. @ChicagoFire
