Club Deportivo Chivas USA have held the Vancouver Whitecaps to a goalless draw at the Home Depot Centre.
An even contest ended with the best chance of the match falling to the home side's Ben Zemanski in the dying minutes.
The midfielder managed to get his right foot on a James Riley cross, but saw his effort go over Joe Cannon's crossbar.
The result leaves Vancouver in third place in the MLS Western Conference, while Chivas are four points clear of bottom-placed FC Dallas.
