Jose Pekerman has spoken of his pride upon seeing his Colombia side play out a 3-3 draw against Chile in their World Cup qualifier last night.
It appeared that the visitors were going to claim all three points when a brace from Alexis Sanchez was accompanied by an Arturo Vidal strike before the break.
However, Teo Gutierrez scored after the restart, before two spot kicks converted by Radamel Falcao secured a share of the spoils for the hosts.
"I was surprised by what happened to us [in the first half]," Pekerman told reporters. "It could have been due the pressure accumulated over a long time.
"I'm very proud of my team, I've rarely seen a national team in this kind of match come back from 3-0 down."
The result saw Colombia seal their place at next year's World Cup in Brazil - a feat that they have not achieved since 1998.
