Juan Quintero "hurt" by Colombia exit

Colombia midfielder Juan Quintero admits that he is "hurt" by the team's quarter-final defeat to Brazil at the World Cup.

Colombia midfielder Juan Quintero has revealed that he is "hurt" by the team's quarter-final exit at the World Cup.

The South Americans were knocked out of the tournament on Friday night with a 2-1 defeat to hosts Brazil.

While claiming that his time at the World Cup has been an "incredible experience", Quintero is unhappy to be going home early.

"It's very hard," the 21-year-old told FIFA.com. "We're one big family here, with the youngsters and the oldest players coming together.

"It's been an incredible experience. It hurts to lose, it really does, especially as we fought as hard as we possibly could."

Following their win over Colombia, Brazil will now face Germany for a place in next Sunday's final.
