Columbus 1-4 New York

New York Red Bulls record a 4-1 victory away at Columbus Crew.

New York Red Bulls have retained their grip on second spot in the MLS Eastern Conference with a 4-1 win over Columbus Crew.

The visitors went ahead early when Thierry Henry sent Kenny Cooper clear to slot home.

Cooper doubled his and New York's tally ten minutes later by nodding home from the centre of the penalty area.

Henry then got in on the act five minutes before half time with a typical side-footed finish to give New York a 3-0 half-time lead.

Chad Marshall grabbed one back for the hosts in the 89th minute before Henry completed the rout with his second goal of the game.
