Tottenham Hotspur are understood to be ready to meet the £17m buyout clause of Corinthians midfielder Paulinho.

Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly ready to meet the £17m buyout clause of Corinthians midfielder Paulinho.

The Brazilian club recently confirmed that Spurs were interested in signing the 24-year-old.

Tottenham are likely to start with a £14m bid but are prepared to increase that amount, according to Goal.com.

Paulinho is currently taking part at the Confederations Cup with hosts Brazil.
