Costa Rica manager Oscar Ramirez has claimed that England are among the main contenders to win the World Cup this summer.
Los Ticos, who drew with the Three Lions at Brazil 2014 en route to the quarter-finals, will take on Gareth Southgate's charges in a friendly at Elland Road on Thursday.
Ramirez's side will wrap up their pre-tournament preparations against Belgium on Monday, while England will have no more warm-up games ahead of their Group G opener against Tunisia.
"England have a very good squad at the moment," the 53-year-old told Sky Sports News. "It's a very physical squad. They have a lot of great characteristics.
"Their combination play, their defence is very good. They often like to trick the attackers. They are also a very modern squad and one that has a lot of hope.
"England are one of many sides - Germany, Brazil, Spain, even France, who all have a lot of potential at this tournament."
England, who last won the World Cup in 1966, are currently 13th in the FIFA World Rankings.
