Coventry youngster Ivor Lawton ruled out for rest of season

A knee injury sustained in an Under-21s match will force midfielder Ivor Lawton to sit out the remainder of Coventry City's campaign.

Coventry City midfielder Ivor Lawton will spend the remainder of the campaign on the sidelines due to a knee injury.

The 19-year-old academy graduate sustained the damage during an Under-21s match on Monday afternoon.

Lawton made his Sky Blues senior bow against Yeovil Town in the Football League Trophy earlier this month, coming on for the final 15 minutes of the goalless draw.

Coventry retained the youngster's services at the end of last season when reshaping their squad, but he will play no further part between now and next May.
