Cody Mcdonald came off the bench to earn Coventry City a 1-1 draw with Crystal Palace at the Ricoh Arena tonight.
Darren Ambrose stepped up to score a fourth-minute penalty for Palace after Nathan Cameron was adjudged to have fouled Chris Martin.
Following Palace's opener, Richard Keogh had a chance to equalise for the hosts but his shot was saved well by Julian Speroni.
Gary McSheffrey did find the net for the Sky Blues but his effort was ruled out for offside.
McSheffrey then wasted a good chance by blasting over the bar before Speroni was again on hand to deny Clive Platt.
However City did finally break the Eagles' resolve when Mcdonald struck 10 minutes from time to level the game.
With the result, Coventry remain in the relegation zone while Palace move to within five points of the playoff spots.
