Experienced striker Marcus Tudgay has earned himself a one-year contract with League One side Coventry City.
The 31-year-old has been training with the Sky Blues following his release by Nottingham Forest, and Coventry manager Steven Pressley has been sufficiently impressed to make him his eighth summer signing.
"There have been a number of things about Marcus that have impressed me," Pressley told the club website.
"He's hungry, he's strong, he provides just the kind of attacking threat that we think will prove very effective."
Pressley added: "Marcus's attitude and application over the past weeks have also been first class and he's showcased exactly the kind of mentality and work ethic that I want to be a cornerstone of this team."
Tudgay has scored 88 goals in 395 professional appearances during a career which has seen him represent Forest, Sheffield Wednesday, Derby County, Barnsley and Charlton Athletic.
