Promotion chasing trio Swindon Town, Crawley Town and Shrewsbury Town were all held to draws in Saturday's League Two action.
Table-toppers Swindon are still in pole position to win the league but couldn't break the deadlock in their 0-0 draw with Bristol Rovers.
Crawley played out the same scoreline away to Burton Albion while Shrewsbury came from behind to earn a 1-1 draw with Aldershot Town at the Greenhous Meadow.
The bottom two were both defeated as Hereford United went down 1-0 to Rotherham United and Macclesfield Town suffered a 2-0 loss to playoff outsiders Gillingham.
Another side who are hopeful of a playoff spot are Crewe Alexandra, but they were held by Northampton Town, who move six points clear of trouble with the result.
Meanwhile there were also wins for Morecambe and Plymouth Argyle, who beat Oxford United and struggling Bradford City respectively.
