Crewe Alexandra have signed Fulham goalkeeper Neil Etheridge on an emergency loan deal.
The 23-year-old, who has previously had loan spells with Charlton Athletic and Bristol Rovers, will remain with the League One side until January 1.
Crewe manager Steve Davis has said that more signings are likely to follow.
"I hold my hand up, one or two of the people I brought in have not done as well as I thought," he told BBC Radio Stoke.
"We all make mistakes. The important thing is that you identify those mistakes and you try to put them right.
"We've only won three games this season. That's nowhere near enough, given the standards I have set at this club. Additions will help the group and give everyone a boost. Had I gone with the current group as it was, it would have been a very long season."
Etheridge has made just one senior appearance for Fulham.
