Sports Mole looks at how Croatia could line up in Monday's Euro 2020 last-16 clash with Spain.

Croatia boss Zlatko Dalic is expected to keep faith with the majority of the side that started against Scotland last time out for Monday's last-16 Euro 2020 clash with Spain.

The 2018 World Cup finalists finished second in Group D courtesy of a 3-1 win over Scotland on Tuesday, with Nikola Vlasic, Luka Modric and Ivan Perisic on the scoresheet.

Perisic will not be available against Spain, though, as the experienced attacker has tested positive for coronavirus, meaning that there could be a start for Ante Rebic in a forward area.

Vlasic justified his selection with a goal, and it seems likely that the 23-year-old will again be given the nod as part of a front three alongside Rebic and Bruno Petkovic.

Unless there are any late fitness problems, the same midfield three will take to the field, with Modric, who scored a brilliant goal last time out, lining up alongside Marcelo Brozovic and Mateo Kovacic.

Dejan Lovren is in line to feature alongside Domagoj Vida in the middle of the defence, while Josko Gvardiol is expected to again be selected at left-back.

There is uncertainty when it comes to the right-back spot, though, as Josip Juranovic was given the nod over Sime Vrsaljko for the clash with Scotland.

Vrsaljko is in line to come back into the starting XI against Spain due to his experience, but the bulk of the side that took to the field for the first whistle at Hampden Park should remain in place.

Croatia possible starting lineup: Livakovic; Vrsaljko, Lovren, Vida, Gvardiol; Modric, Brozovic, Kovacic; Vlasic, Petkovic, Rebic
