Crystal Palace manager Alan Pardew makes seven changes to his side for the League Cup third-round tie with Charlton Athletic.

Crystal Palace manager Alan Pardew has made six changes to his side for the League Cup third-round tie with Charlton Athletic.

Wayne Hennessey replaces Alex McCarthy in goal, while Adrian Mariappa comes into the centre of defence in place of Brede Hangeland.

Joe Ledley and Lee Chung-yong are brought into the midfield with Yohan Cabaye and Jason Puncheon dropping to the bench, while Fraizer Campbell partners Dwight Gayle in attack.

Cabaye and Puncheon join Patrick Bamford, Yannick Bolasie and Bakary Sako on a strong substitutes' bench for the hosts.

In terms of the visitors' team, there are four changes as on-loan Everton forward Conor McAleny comes in for his first start up front alongside Karlan Ahearne-Grant.

El Hadji-Ba comes into the midfield for the injured Johnnie Jackson, while Naby Sarr is preferred to Alou Diarra in defence.
