Crystal Palace have reportedly opened up discussions with manager Alan Pardew regarding a new contract.
The 54-year-old has been widely praised for the job that he has carried out since he took charge at Selhurst Park 11 months ago, with Palace having collected 60 points from 35 Premier League outings.
Such results have resulted in him being linked with the England job, while Tony Cascarino recently stated that Pardew should be considered for the Chelsea vacancy.
However, the Eagles are keen to retain Pardew's services and they are prepared to make an improvement on his current terms, according to The Guardian.
Palace are sixth in the Premier League table, level on points with fourth-placed Tottenham Hotspur.
