New Crystal Palace manager Roy Hodgson has named former Millwall defender Steven Reid as a new first-team coach with the Eagles.
The news comes after it was confirmed that Sammy Lee had been relieved of his duties as assistant manager, having served in the post for the last eight months under both Sam Allardyce and the recently-departed Frank de Boer.
Reid called time on his playing career two years ago after spells with the Lions, Burnley, West Bromwich Albion and Blackburn Rovers and has since been working as a coach for Championship side Reading.
The 36-year-old played under Hodgson during his time at The Hawthorns and now joins a team that also includes Ray Lewington as Hodgson's assistant.
Palace welcome Southampton in today's early kickoff looking to arrest a run of four straight league defeats.
