Ian Holloway: 'Pursuit of Darren Bent in the past'

Crystal Palace manager Ian Holloway says that his pursuit of striker Darren Bent is in the past.

Ian Holloway has said that his pursuit of Darren Bent during the summer transfer window is "in the past".

Crystal Palace were keen to sign the striker on loan from Aston Villa earlier this year, but the 29-year-old chose to join Fulham instead.

Speaking at a press conference, the Eagles manager said: "It's in the past now. Fulham did very well to get him, so well done to Martin [Jol].

"We had a couple of discussions about it and I thought he was turning up at our training ground, but you've never got them in your keep net until they're there."

Palace face the Cottagers in the Premier League on Monday.
