Crystal Palace forward Glenn Murray will miss the second leg of his team's Championship playoff semi-final against Brighton & Hove Albion after sustaining a knee injury in tonight's 0-0 draw.
The prolific striker was stretchered off in this evening's showdown at Selhurt Park, and could be battling for fitness ahead of the new campaign if manager Ian Holloway's worst fears are confirmed.
"We're not sure how bad it is. Glenn felt he was tackled - we've told him he wasn't," BBC Sport quotes Holloway as saying.
"We suspect it's something wrong with his cruciate, but we hope it is not that. It's never a good thing to do but we're not certain that's it. We will get him scanned but obviously he won't be ready for Monday."
Brighton and Palace will meet for the return leg at the Amex on Monday evening.
