Crystal Palace start with Dwight Gayle, Marouane Chamakh

Dwight Gayle and Marouane Chamakh start for Crystal Palace, while Connor Wickham gets a rare spot in the lineup for Sunderland.

Crystal Palace manager Ian Holloway has chosen Dwight Gayle and Marouane Chamakh to lead his side's attack against Sunderland this evening.

Chamakh scored last weekend against Stoke City and is rewarded with another starting spot.

Fellow new signing Jason Puncheon also keeps his place, while veteran striker Kevin Phillips is again on the bench.

Sunderland makes three changes to the side that drew with Southampton, bringing in David Vaughan, Connor Wickham and Ji Dong-Won for Craig Gardner, Jozy Altidore and Stephane Sessegnon.

Crystal Palace: Speroni; Ward, Gabbidon, Delaney, Moxey; Dikgacoi, Jedinak, Campana, Puncheon; Gayle, Chamakh

Sunderland: Westwood; Celustka, O'Shea, Diakite, Colback; Larsson, Vaughan, Johnson, Giaccherini; Wickham, Ji
