Crystal Palace goalkeeper Julian Speroni has revealed that he hopes to make the Argentina squad for next month's friendly against Romania.
The 34-year-old shotstopper has never been capped by his country at senior level.
However, Speroni now believes that he has a chance to be part of the team's plans as they prepare for the World Cup in Brazil.
"I've just got to keep doing what I've been doing for Palace and hopefully I will earn a call-up to the squad for the friendly next month," he is quoted as saying by Sky Sports News.
"Obviously the decision is out of my hands but it would be a dream for me to be called up.
"I'm very pleased with my form this season; I'm working so, so hard to keep improving and I'm enjoying my football, which is also important."
Palace return to action tonight when they make the trip to Everton in the Premier League.
