The Football Association has charged Crystal Palace striker Connor Wickham with violent conduct.
The charge is in relation to an incident that occurred during Palace's 3-1 defeat at the hands of Tottenham Hotspur on Saturday afternoon.
During the second half at Selhurst Park, Wickham allegedly threw a deliberate elbow into the face of Spurs centre-back Jan Vertonghen prior to a corner being taken.
The incident was missed by referee Martin Atkinson and his assistants, which has forced the FA to intervene.
Wickham, 22, has been given until 6pm tomorrow evening to respond to the charge.
If found guilty, it is likely that the summer signing from Sunderland will receive a three-match suspension.
