Team News: Crystal Palace unchanged for Newcastle United clash

Crystal Palace manager Alan Pardew names an unchanged side as his team welcome his former club Newcastle United to Selhurst Park.

Crystal Palace manager Alan Pardew has named an unchanged side as his team welcome his former club Newcastle United to Selhurst Park.

Despite the Eagles succumbing to a disappointing 1-0 home defeat to relegation strugglers Sunderland on Monday night, Pardew has kept faith with the same XI for the visit of the Magpies.

Former Black Cats striker Connor Wickham continues to lead the line ahead of substitute Patrick Bamford, while the trio of Wilfried Zaha, Jason Puncheon and Yannick Bolasie support from midfield.

For Steve McClaren's struggling Newcastle side, there are two changes as Jack Colback returns from injury to take the place of Cheick Tiote in the centre of midfield.

Papiss Cisse is handed a rare start in attack, with Aleksandar Mitrovic relegated to the bench.

Crystal Palace: Hennessey; Ward, Dann, Delaney, Souare; McArthur, Cabaye; Zaha, Puncheon, Bolasie; Wickham
Subs: Speroni, Kelly, Ledley, Jedinak, Lee, Chamakh, Bamford

Newcastle United: Elliot; Janmaat, Mbemba, Coloccini, Dummett; Colback, Anita; Sissoko, Perez, Wijnaldum; Cisse
Subs: Darlow, Lascelles, Gouffran, Thauvin, Sterry, De Jong, Mitrovic
